Privacy policy
Kassa keeps everything on your phone. I don't collect, receive or share your data, because the app can't connect to the internet.

The short version
- Kassa has no internet permission. It can't send your data anywhere.
- There is no account, no ads and no analytics.
- Your entries, accounts and settings are stored in an encrypted database on your phone.
- I never see your data and have nothing to sell, share or hand over.
What Kassa stores, and where
Everything you enter (accounts, entries, categories, loans, people, settings) is stored in a database on your phone, encrypted with SQLCipher. App lock adds your fingerprint or screen lock. If you uninstall Kassa, that data is deleted with it, unless you saved a backup.
Backups
Automatic backups go only to the folder you pick, and without a password unless you add one. For anywhere you don't control, make a copy with a password. Kassa doesn't upload backups anywhere. Where a backup lives is up to you.
Crash reports and feedback
Crash reports stay on your phone. If you send feedback, it goes from your own email app, only when you choose to. It includes your message, the app and Android versions and the phone model, any screenshots you add, and the last crash report if you leave it ticked. It never includes your entries. You see the whole email before sending it.
Permissions Kassa asks for

Kassa does not request the INTERNET permission, access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone. Files are opened only through Android's file picker, when you choose to import or back up.
This website
This website is plain pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see a normal page request from your browser. If you email me, I use your message only to reply.
Children
Kassa is a general money tracker and isn't directed at children. Because it collects nothing, there is no child data to collect.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. A change that affected your data in any way would also be described in the app's release notes.
